先日仲間たちと飲んでいた際に、
「･･･ハヤトさん、こないだ”棚が回る冷蔵庫”のCMやってたんですけど、信じられますか?(笑)」

　という興味深い問いを、88年生まれの学生が「呆れながら」私に投げかけてきました。

　私はこの言葉の意味するところが、一瞬分かりませんでした(皆さんは分かりますか?)

　彼の話はとてもシンプルで「なんで日本人は真面目に働いて『棚が回る冷蔵庫』を作り、多額のお金を掛けてそのCMまで作っているんだ。もっと世の中には解決すべき課題があるのではないか」という思いを抱いたそうです。

　私は彼の感覚に驚くと同時に、ともすると私たちが苦労して作り上げた仕事が、文字通り一笑に付される可能性もあることを知り、恐れすら感じました。

　そして、彼の感覚は、ある程度共有されうるものであることも真実です。私自身もどこか感じていた「企業のマーケティングに対する違和感」が、彼の言葉によって一層明瞭になりました。

　以前も記事に書きましたが、優秀な若い人材は、「満たされたニーズをさらに満たすような仕事」に魅力を感じなくなっている現状があるように私は感じます。

　仕事選びだけでなく、商品やブランドを選択する際にも、若い世代は厳しく「この課題だらけの世界で、何のためにそれをやっているの?」という問いを投げかけていると言えるでしょう。
